America’s Family is Back, ‘Roseanne’ Trailer Airs During the Oscars!

Roseanne Cast
“Roseanne,” the timeless sitcom that broke new ground and dominated ratings in its original run, will return to ABC. Adam Rose/ABC

I’ve been re-watching the series since it’s now available on Amazon Prime instead of Netflix’s offering which was one of those ‘Best Of’ collections offering around 20 or so episodes.

I can’t believe how well this show holds up, how funny every episode is, how much heart is in the Conner family, how fantastic John Goodman is with a naturally gift for physical comedy and just strong writing. I’ve been eagerly anticipating Season 10 since ABC announced it and for me, one of the best parts of the Academy Awards telecast was getting our first real glimpse at the new season when ABC gave us our first official trailer for ‘Roseanne’ Season 10.

Roseanne Barr and John Goodman Adam Rose/ABC

Roseanne and Goodman, along with the entire cast is back! Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Michael Fishman as D.J., Ames McNamara returns as Becky’s husband Mark, Jayden Rey (Mary) and Johnny Galecki as David will all appear in the new season. Becky initially played by Lecy Goranson before being replaced by Sara Chalke for three seasons.  In the final season both Becky’s returned, and Roseanne had fun swapping them in and out of episodes.

Check Out the Trailer Below:

With our culture the way it is, the return of Roseanne will be a breath of fresh air that I think everyone can look forward to.

New episodes of Roseanne premiere on ABC Tuesday, March 27, at 8 p.m. ET.
